Initial Sketch of Calendar -- weefong

 The month of April in calendar that I had done.

THE PROCESS...

STEP 1: Copy an image and adjust the size of the image. The layer name it background.

 STEP 2: Use Horizontal Type Tool to type Sunday until Monday with using the first of the word. Choose Arial as the type font and colored the Sunday with red.

 STEP 3: Use Horizontal Type Tool to type the number of the day and use red color which on Sunday. Choose Times New Roman as the type font.

 STEP 4: Use Horizontal Type Tool to type the number of the day in the second roll and use red color which on Sunday. Choose Times New Roman as the type font.

 STEP 5: Use Horizontal Type Tool to type the month of APRIL. Choose Hobo Std as the type font.

 Step 6: Use Horizontal Type Tool to type the year of 2011. Choose Hobo Std as the type font.

STEP 7: Use Rectangle Tool and draw it with color it with light blue.

 STEP 8: Copy the image of the drum set and place it right side of the rectangle box.

 STEP 9: Crop the drum set and copy it. Then arrange it nicely.

Sketch of calender - WeiTing

Step 1 : Open a new A4 canvas and name it as "Calender_july"

Step 2 : Image >> Image Rotation >>  90° CW to rotate the image to horizontal. Fill the canvas with #fffed0 colour.

Step 3 : Ctrl + O to open reference image, adjust the curves level, brightness and exposure of the image to refine it.

Step 4 : Using Quick Selection Tool to select the figure from background. Feather >> feather radius = 3 pixels to smoothen the edge and cut it out. Paste the image selected onto "Calender_july" canvas and name it as "figure".

Step 5 : Open the music instrument image. I choose the Kayageum image.

Step 6 : Using Clone Tool to erase the reference address on the image and Quick Selection Tool to select the Kayageum part only. Feather >> feather radius = 3 pixels to smoothen the edge and cut it out. 

Step 7 : Paste in onto "Calender_july" canvas and name it as "kayageum".

Step 8 : Arrange the figure image and kayageum image nicely and using Horizontal Type Tool add-on text[ The month and date]. Right-click >> Blending options to apply effects on text. 

Step 9 : Using Elliptical Marquee Tool and press shift to draw a small perfect circle and fill it with #fe026d. Place it under the layer of date and arrange it according to each Sunday and name it as "Sunday highlight".

Step 10 : The sketch of calender is done . Ctrl + S to save it as the PSD. file.

Step 1 >> set the foreground color & background color >> use radial gradient tool >> drag a circular gradient

Step 2 >> open up adobe illustrator >> choose type tool >> type

Step 3 >> effect >> 3D >> Extrude & Bevel

Step 4 >> copy & paste the letter to Photoshop

Step 5 >> select magic wand >> click the top surface of the letter

Step 6 >> Click on Refine Edge >> fill in the setting

Step 7 >> create a new layer >> name it as surface >> activate gradient overlay

Step 8 >> create a new layer >> name as Star >> use soft brush tool draw a cross >> erase slightly on 4 corner >> paint a fade dot in the center of the cross

Step 9 >> blending option >> outer glow

Step 10 >> merge layer

Step 11 >> repeat the steps above

Step 12 >> use quick selection tool >> select the piano >> cope & paste in

Step 13 >> adjust the opacity

Step 14 >> brush tool

Sketch of calender - Vfong

Step 1: Choose Rectangle Tool and fill it with black colour.

Step 2: Crop the image and arrange it nicely.

Step 3: Choose Hue/Saturation. Adjust the Hue +93 and Saturation -35. 

Step 4: Choose Horizontal Type Tool and type APRIL.

Step 5: Choose Horizontal Type Tool and type the day from SUN to SAT.

Step 6: Choose Horizontal Type Tool and type the date from 1 to 30.

5th meeting minutes

1. Today meeting was held for dividing which music instrument does we want to use so that it won't crash. Each of us has choose more than two music instruments to do the sketches then just choose the better one from all of it. It was divided as follow :

• Mann Ee : Guitar / Harp / Maracas
• Fong Fong : Lute / Violin / Flute
• Wei Shin : Trumpet /  French horn / Bass lute [ DaRuan ]
• Wee Fong : Tambourine and Drum set 
• Zi Xuan : Piano / Saxophone / Flute
• Wei Ting : Clarinet / Dulcimer / Accordion 

2. Besides, we do the sketches and discuss about the interfaces of our calender.It will be upload by each of us afterward. We will done our sketches separately first then just discuss which is more suitable to use and enhance it later. This would make us create more ideas and excite creativity.
