Initial Sketch of Calendar -- Mann Ee

Here is the Initial sketch of the interface of my calendar,

The Month of March

Step 1: Create a new document in A4 sized, fill the background with black color.

Step 2 : Load the below "Music Note" image into Photoshop and select the music note by using Magic Wand Tool as shown below:

 Smart Tips: Click Magic Wand Tool on the White space, then right click "Select Inverse" to make a quick and accurate selection.

Step 3: Copy and paste the selection onto our document. Add  Inner shadow effects to make the music note look darker.

 Step 4: Adjust Hue/Saturation of the layer.

 
Step 5: Load the Harp photo into Photoshop, Copy and paste the image into the document.
 Erase the unwanted portion and change the Blending option of the layer to "Hard light", and you will have the following effect:

 

Step 6: Add on the text [ March ] by using Horizontal type tool. then, Right click blending option to add Outer Glow effects on the text.

Step 7:  By using the same method type the date of the Month on the left top corner.

Step 8 : Lastly, adjust the brightness/contrast of the image to make it brighter.
